The programme draws heavily on Malca’s collection and personal relationship with the art of 1980s New York—especially Keith Haring, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Kenny Scharf and George Condo—while occasionally presenting other contemporary artists.
Malca’s broader network includes Fundación La Nave Salinas in Ibiza, Casa Malca in Tulum and The Art Lodge in Sian Ka’an. 60 White is the New York expression of that collector-led ecosystem.

60 White occupies an interesting position between private collection, gallery and cultural venue. Its exhibitions can bring important works that normally remain in private hands into public view, without charging admission.
Worth the trip
60 White is not a conventional commercial gallery with a predictable sequence of represented artists. It operates more like a collector’s exhibition hall, giving Lio Malca space to build ambitious presentations around artists he has followed for decades.
The principal attraction is scale. Its multiple levels, exposed brick, skylights and immense central wall allow it to show monumental works and installations that would overwhelm a standard Tribeca white cube.

Move from a collector’s exhibition venue to a leading commercial gallery, an artist-centred nonprofit and finally an institution devoted entirely to drawing. This is the most varied route and offers a useful cross-section of the downtown art ecosystem.
Allow: Half a day.
Route tip: Tribeca galleries frequently close during exhibition installations. Thursday through Saturday is usually the safest period, but check every stop before setting out.
