Victoria Miro

A London gallery with a rare mix of intimacy and global influence. Victoria Miro London is where contemporary art feels thoughtful, poetic and quietly powerful — with one of the most beautiful gallery gardens in the city.
Victoria Miro is a leading contemporary art gallery in London, located at 16 Wharf Road, London N1 7RW, near Angel and Old Street. The London space includes two gallery buildings connected by a waterside sculpture garden, giving the visit a very different rhythm from the polished Mayfair gallery route.
Founded by Victoria Miro, the gallery has become one of the key names in London’s contemporary art scene, known for long relationships with major international artists and for exhibitions that often feel elegant, intelligent and emotionally charged. Its London history began in Cork Street before the gallery moved to its larger Wharf Road space in 2000.

Worth the trip
Yes — especially if you want London beyond the obvious museum and Mayfair gallery routes.
What makes Victoria Miro London special is its balance: internationally important, but not cold; market-facing, but still deeply connected to artists; elegant, but never just decorative. It offers a softer, more reflective side of the contemporary art world.
For Artlovers, it is worth including because it shows another London art rhythm: not the blockbuster museum, not the luxury gallery corridor, but a place where contemporary art can feel intimate, serious and beautifully alive.
ArtLovers Tip
Don’t rush the garden. Victoria Miro’s magic is not only the exhibition rooms — it is the movement between art, water, plants, architecture and quiet. It feels like a hidden pause inside London.
