Located in the historic setting of Somerset House, The Courtauld Gallery is home to one of the UK’s most refined art collections. It is especially famous for its Impressionist and Post-Impressionist masterpieces, including Van Gogh’s Self-Portrait with Bandaged Ear and Manet’s A Bar at the Folies-Bergère.

The collection ranges from the Middle Ages to the 20th century, with paintings, drawings, prints, sculpture and decorative arts. It is not a giant museum — and that is part of its charm. The Courtauld feels concentrated, elegant and deeply personal.
