Studio Voltaire is one of the UK’s leading not-for-profit contemporary art galleries and artists’ studios, based in Clapham, South London. It is located at 1A Nelsons Row, London SW4 7JR, inside a former chapel-like building that gives the space a very different atmosphere from the big central London museums.
Its identity is built around supporting artists, producing new work, and creating space for experimental contemporary practice. Alongside exhibitions, Studio Voltaire includes onsite artist studios, public programs, House of Voltaire — its artist-edition shop — and Crispin, its onsite restaurant and counter bar.
