JR concludes his years-long exploration of human isolation by turning the Pont Neuf into a geological miracle. Following the legacy of Christo and Jeanne-Claude’s famous 1985 wrapping, this ephemeral intervention uses massive inflatable structures and printed fabric to evoke Plato’s allegory of the cave, urging us toward shared clarity. This public installation is open to all with free admission.
You're watching the familiar stone of the bridge dissolve into the rugged, shadowy textures of a prehistoric grotto. As you walk through the interior tunnel, the heavy city air gives way to an immersive soundscape by Thomas Bangalter, while augmented reality layers a digital dreamscape over the physical arches.
