A cloud appears indoors, swallows the Rotunda and disappears again: Fujiko Nakaya turns weather itself into sculpture.
Stay through a complete fog cycle rather than simply walking through once.
Verdict: ★★★★½ Small time commitment, memorable experience.
Inside the exhibition
Nakaya fills the Rotunda with artificial fog, turning one of Paris’s most monumental interiors into something temporary and unstable. Architecture disappears and reappears as water droplets react to movement, air and changing atmospheric conditions.
