Parra & Romero was founded in Madrid in 2005 by Guillermo Romero Parra. From the beginning, its identity has centred on investigating new artistic languages between conceptualism and minimalism. It later expanded to Ibiza, where it operates a second space in Santa Gertrudis.
Its exhibitions frequently go beyond presenting recent works for sale. Projects devoted to Ugo Mulas, Fluxus, Azimuth or conceptual-art pioneers demonstrate a curatorial and art-historical dimension more commonly associated with institutions.
