CaixaForum Valencia

A futuristic cultural space inside Valencia’s most iconic architecture. CaixaForum València is where exhibitions, science, music, talks and family culture enter the spectacular Àgora of the City of Arts and Sciences.
CaixaForum València is located at C/ Eduardo Primo Yúfera, 1A, inside the Àgora building of the Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències. It is not a museum with a permanent collection, but a flexible cultural centre with exhibitions, concerts, lectures, workshops, educational programmes and family activities.
The setting is a major part of the experience. The Àgora, designed by Santiago Calatrava, is one of the most recognizable structures in Valencia’s futuristic cultural landscape. CaixaForum gives that architecture a public cultural life: instead of being only something you photograph from outside, it becomes a place to enter, sit, learn, listen and look.

Worth the trip
Yes — especially if you want to experience the City of Arts and Sciences beyond its famous exterior.
What makes CaixaForum València special is the combination of architecture + accessible culture. It brings exhibitions and public programming into one of Valencia’s most symbolic contemporary buildings, making the Àgora more than a landmark.
ArtLovers Tip
Visit CaixaForum when you are already exploring the City of Arts and Sciences. It works especially well as the cultural stop that balances the architecture outside with exhibitions and activities inside. Pair it with a walk around the Hemisfèric, the Science Museum, the Umbracle or the Turia Gardens.
For Artlovers, it is worth including because it shows a different side of Valencia’s art map: not historical like the Museu de Belles Arts, not contemporary-critical like IVAM, not immersive like Bombas Gens — but open, interdisciplinary, architectural and very easy to include in a cultural day in the city.
This is usually an easy, flexible visit, not a dense museum that requires half a day. Allow around 60–90 minutes for one exhibition or a general visit. If you are attending a talk, concert, workshop or family activity, plan around the event time and book ahead.
