The Fondation Cartier presents Mahama on an unprecedented scale in France, accompanied by nine artists and collectives. The project connects material histories, labour, colonialism, memory and the possibility of building different futures from the remnants of the past.
About the artist
Ibrahim Mahama (b. 1987, Ghana) is known internationally for monumental installations made from reused materials whose histories expose global systems of labour, trade and inequality.
