Description
Fardo explores the idea that objects do not travel neutrally: they accumulate meanings, movements and histories. Canepa rearranges material culture into structures that suggest storage, displacement and transmission. The result sits somewhere between archive, sculpture and archaeological fiction.
Andrea Canepa (b. 1980) is a Peruvian-Spanish artist whose work frequently investigates systems of classification, collective memory and how objects migrate between contexts.
