PM23 Fondazione Valentino Garavani e Giancarlo Giammetti
At a glance

A new cultural address in Rome where fashion steps into dialogue with contemporary art. PM23 is not a traditional museum — it is a Valentino-born space where beauty, craft, memory and culture become an experience.

What you'll see

At PM23, expect exhibitions that move between fashion, contemporary art, archives, installation and storytelling. It is not about seeing fashion as decoration, but about understanding it as image, body, memory, craft and cultural language.

You may experience:

  • Exhibitions connecting Valentino’s archives with contemporary art
  • Fashion, photography, sculpture and installation
  • Cultural and educational programs
  • A refined exhibition space in one of Rome’s most symbolic fashion locations
  • A different kind of Rome: less ancient monument, more contemporary glamour and cultural production
Artlovers Tip

Visit PM23 after walking around Piazza di Spagna and Via Condotti. The experience makes more sense when you feel the Roman context: fashion, architecture, luxury, history and beauty all compressed into a few streets.

About the venue

More info

Founded in 2016, PM23 is the cultural space of the Fondazione Valentino Garavani e Giancarlo Giammetti, located at Piazza Mignanelli 23, just beside Piazza di Spagna and close to the historic world of Valentino in Rome. The foundation presents PM23 as an exhibition space dedicated to art, fashion and culture as tools for dialogue, growth and social progress.

The space opened as a new chapter for the Foundation’s cultural mission, connecting Valentino Garavani and Giancarlo Giammetti’s fashion legacy with contemporary creativity, exhibitions, learning programs and public engagement.

Worth the trip

Yes — especially if you are interested in the intersection between art, fashion and cultural storytelling.

What makes PM23 special is that it treats beauty seriously. Not as superficial decoration, but as a cultural force: something that can connect craftsmanship, identity, emotion, archives, contemporary artists and public experience.

For Artlovers, PM23 is worth including because it expands the Rome itinerary beyond churches, ruins and museums. It shows a new cultural Rome — one where fashion heritage becomes a platform for art, ideas and future creativity.

Experience art in Rome

Italy

Rome is a city where art is not something you visit — it is the ground, the walls, the churches, the ruins, the fountains and the light around you.

Do not try to “complete” Rome. Choose one big anchor per day — Vatican, Borghese, Ancient Rome, Baroque churches, MAXXI — and let the rest of the city happen around it.
