Taryn Simon. Father Country I Do Love You is on view at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York, United States, from 18 September 2026 to 14 March 2027. The exhibition premieres a new project by Taryn Simon, the New York–born artist known for combining photography, text, sculpture and performance with deep research into systems, secrecy and classification.

The Guggenheim presentation brings together never-before-seen photographs, texts, videos and sculptures in a single interactive installation that occupies the entire Frank Lloyd Wright Rotunda. Rather than offering one fixed route, the project allows visitors to move through a large constellation of images and narratives, following their own pathways through the material.

Its timing gives the exhibition a sharper historical charge. Presented during the 250th anniversary of the United States, the work gathers personal, political and cultural fragments into a spiralling structure. Simon’s subject is not only America, but the hidden forces, stories and images that shape how a country imagines itself.
