Description
The first retrospective devoted to de Sinéty traces four decades of photography across France and the United States. Her colour and black-and-white images turn rural communities, ordinary encounters and everyday environments into patient observations of social change.
Madeleine de Sinéty (1934–2011) was a French photographer whose largely under-recognised body of work combined documentary observation with unusually sensitive use of colour.
