EYE Filmmuseum → IJ waterfront → Nxt Museum
Leave EYE along the northern waterfront and continue into the transformed industrial landscape of Buiksloterham. Around twenty minutes away, Nxt Museum presents large-scale installations at the intersection of digital art, technology, light and sound.
The route moves naturally from film history and archival culture at EYE to immersive, computational and technologically driven contemporary art at Nxt.

Film, industrial heritage and street art
EYE Filmmuseum → NDSM Wharf → STRAAT Museum
Combine EYE with the former NDSM shipyard, reached most easily by bicycle or public transport across Amsterdam-Noord. The enormous industrial site now contains studios, outdoor murals, cultural spaces and STRAAT Museum, devoted to street art and graffiti.
This is the stronger full-day route: EYE examines images through cinema and archives, while STRAAT shifts the scale towards murals, public space and contemporary urban visual culture.
Allow: most of a day.
Best for: photography, graphic culture, street art and post-industrial architecture.
Artlovers note: the two institutions are not adjacent; treat the journey across Noord as part of the route rather than attempting to rush between them.
