De Esteban investigates how contemporary capitalism organises knowledge, behaviour and power. Photography is only one component: video, text and installation allow him to explore systems that are often difficult to represent visually.
Max de Esteban is a Spanish visual artist known for politically and economically engaged research projects that expand documentary photography beyond the single image.
