Hamburger Kunsthalle
The Hamburger Kunsthalle is one of Germany’s most important and comprehensive art museums. Located in the heart of Hamburg, it spans several interconnected buildings, combining historic architecture with a modern extension.
Founded in 1869, the museum’s collection covers seven centuries of European art, from the Middle Ages to contemporary works. It is particularly renowned for its holdings of German Romanticism, including masterpieces by Caspar David Friedrich.
